ORBIE Awards recognize Michael Salas as the Enterprise Winner of the 2020 New York CIO of the Year
In recognition of SUEZ North America's Business Technology Services’ team work in 2020 to ensure all SUEZ systems continued to operate and provide a safe, reliable water supply, the ORBIE Awards, the premier technology executive recognition program in the U.S., has chosen Michael Salas as the 2020 New York CIO of the year.
Michael serves as North America's Senior Vice President & Chief Information and Digital Officer. The recognition honored the team’s work in adapting to the "new norm" for essential workers on-site, operating our plants and fixing any issues (i.e. main breaks) in areas of New York and New Jersey that were worst hit by COVID-19. Plus the addition of all support and customer service staff remotely working from home.
Since inception of the first CIO of the Year Awards in 1998, over 900 CIOs have been honored as finalists and over 200 CIO of the Year winners have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The ORBIE Award represents exceptional leadership, innovation, and vision; representing the characteristics and qualities that inspire others to achieve their potential.
